AZOSS-CAPS are capsules containing a free-living, aerobic nitrogen-fixing bacterium known as Azospirillum. This bacterium forms a symbiotic association with the rhizosphere of non-leguminous crops, fixing significant amounts of atmospheric nitrogen and making it available to the plant. Azospirillum is a microaerophilic, surface-colonizing bacterium that thrives in low oxygen conditions, enabling it to survive and function effectively in the rhizosphere.

Azospirillium is an associate type of microorganism which is capable of colonizing root surface of plants. As it is a free living nitrogen fixing bacteria it takes Nitrogen directly from the atmosphere and makes it available to the plant in the Consumable form.

Azospirillum is a free-living nitrogen-fixing bacterium that is closely associated with grasses. It promotes plant growth by enhancing tolerance to abiotic stresses and improving cereal seed germination in crops like wheat, barley, and maize. Azospirillum plays a central role in natural nitrogen fixation, enriching the soil with nitrogen. Under favorable conditions, it stimulates the release of plant growth hormones such as IAA, IBA, gibberellic acid (GA), abscisic acid (ABA), and cytokinin. These hormones act as vital factors in the plant’s life cycle, aiding in crop growth, increasing productivity, and improving overall plant health.

RECOMMENDATION
 

Azospirillum is best suited for use in short-duration crops (3-4 months) and can be applied to all types of crops except leguminous and sweet crops. It can be utilized for soil preparation to enhance the nitrogen content in the soil, improving its fertility. Additionally, Azospirillum can be used for seed treatment to promote healthy germination, ensuring stronger and more vigorous crop growth.

Minimum 1 capsule per acre, with 2 to 3 capsules recommended for optimal results.
